Pastor’s Bio
Pastor Raymond E. Velasquez received Christ as his Savior and was thus born again in the summer of 1988. Six months later on Christmas Eve he was baptized into the First Missionary Baptist Church of Woodbridge where he received discipleship training and eventually taught discipleship classes there.
After few years he surrendered to the Lord’s call to the ministry, and then after five years at Fresno Missionary Baptist Institute he graduated with a Bachelor of Theology degree and a Graduate in Bible Languages degree. He has since pastored several Missionary Baptist churches in southern and northern California, and has worked as a missionary in Washington State and in the logging town of Quincy, California.
Pastor Ray has three grown children and between his two daughters he has eight grandchildren. He and his wife, Claudia, came to Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Chico in 2018 where he continues to teach and preach the Word of God.
